A person has been arrested in reference to a home fireplace that killed a lady and her four-year-old son.
Gina Ingles, 34, and Milo, 4, have been present in Croxden Approach, Eastbourne, a day after Tuesday’s blaze.
Detectives stated a 47-year-old man from Eastbourne was arrested on Sunday morning on suspicion of two counts of homicide and one in every of tried homicide.
Ms Ingles’ associate Toby Jarrett, 26, was injured within the fireplace and stays in an induced coma.
The arrested man stays in custody.
In an announcement launched final week Ms Ingles’ household described her and her son as “our shining lights that introduced like to us all”.
Ms Ingles was described as a full-time mum who beloved arts and crafts, drawing, stitching and baking.
Milo was described as a “playful, cheeky and loveable little boy… filled with enjoyable and smiles.”
The fireplace broke out at about 01:20 BST on Tuesday, however the property was unstable, and it was not till Wednesday that the pair’s our bodies have been discovered.
