About 100 firefighters are tackling a big grass fireplace in East London, which has led to massive plumes of smoke being seen throughout the capital.

London Fireplace Brigade stated 15 fireplace engines had been despatched to the blaze, on Wanstead Flats close to Stratford, earlier.

Firefighters stay on the scene to deliver it beneath management. Some residents are reporting they’ve been compelled to go away their houses.

The Met Police has suggested individuals to keep away from the world as a result of heavy smoke.

Highway closures are in place, together with the A114 which is shut in each instructions.
