1000’s of {dollars} in potential income for suicide prevention charity Lifeline have been ripped away, after a thief entered its Canberra guide truthful and stole dozens of uncommon books.

The charity believes about 60 books had been taken final Thursday night, together with uncommon first editions and medical journals, donated to the guide truthful, which was held on the weekend.

“It’s heartbreaking for everybody involved,” Lifeline Canberra CEO Carrie Leeson stated.

The incident has been reported to ACT Policing, and Lifeline has handed over CCTV footage displaying an individual taking six baggage stuffed with books.

Ms Leeson stated there had been no indicators of pressured entry to the premises.
