A magnitude-5.four earthquake has hit the Lake Muir space of Western Australia’s south-west, about 330 kilometres south of Perth.
The quake struck simply after 5:00am, with residents reporting tremors as distant as Albany and Pemberton.
Jane Beswick in Kojonup, about 150 kilometres away, mentioned she was woken up by the earthquake.
“Properly I used to be useless to the world,” she mentioned.
“It was eight minutes previous 5 as a result of I seemed on the clock as quickly as I felt the tremor.”
“The wardrobe began rattling as a result of I’ve acquired timber flooring and the home shook.”
Frank, from Bridgetown, mentioned it was the most important tremor he had felt since shifting to the world virtually 15 years in the past.
“There was like a rush of wind … after which the home began shifting and rumbling and shaking. It was very loud,” he mentioned.
It’s the second robust earthquake to hit the world up to now two months.
A magnitude-5.7 quake hit the Lake Muir space on September 16.
Extra to return.
