Police say they’re rising more and more involved for the welfare of a British vacationer who has gone lacking in New Zealand.
Detectives are investigating the disappearance of 22-year-old Grace Millane, who was final seen in Auckland on Saturday evening.
The backpacker, reported to be from Essex, has not been involved together with her household for a number of days, together with on her 22nd birthday on Sunday.
Detective Inspector Scott Beard, of Auckland Metropolis Police, mentioned Ms Millane’s father was on his approach to New Zealand, and mentioned her household had been understandably “distraught”.
“Clearly this can be a very annoying time for Grace’s household and the longer she stays lacking, the extra our concern grows for her security and wellbeing,” he mentioned.
Ms Millane is claimed to have been in New Zealand for about two weeks, and was staying at a backpackers’ hostel in Auckland metropolis centre.
Police have launched a CCTV picture of the final recognized sighting of her at 7.15pm on Saturday at leisure advanced Sky Metropolis.
