Black Crowes 2020 Reunion Tour to celebrate the 30th anniversary.
Reports continue to bubble up of a possible The Black Crowes reunion. The latest, first reported by Relix, seems to indicate that Chris Robinson and Rich Robinson might reunite in 2020 to celebrate the 30th anniversary of their 1990 smash-hit debut album Shake Your Money Maker.
Relix posted a photo of a concert poster detailing two shows — one at PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, New Jersey on July 17 and one at Northwell Health at Jones Beach Theater in Wantagh, New York on July 18 — that reads “The Black Crowes Present: Shake Your Money Maker” with an insert that reads “Played in its entirety, plus all the hits.”
This development comes after new activity on the band’s social media pages. A billboard with the classic Crowes logo was also spotted outside the New Jersey entrance to the Lincoln Tunnel. All of this seems to bolster a report in the Wall Street Journal that the band would tour in 2020 as well as details from drummer Steve Gorman that the band is going to “move forward with new people.”
But as of yet, the band nor their representatives have said anything about the reunion. The Black Crowes last played together in February of 2014 and officially dissolved for the second time in 2015.
